Dr. George D. Rhyneer
Raised in Alaska, Dr. Rhyneer returned to Anchorage after completing his college and medical school degrees in the Northwest. After attending the University of Washington Medical School, he conducted his general surgery internship at Oregon Health Sciences University. His orthopedic training was primarily at the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Training Program.
It was there that Dr. Rhyneer became a specialist in repair of traumatic injury: ligament reconstruction, cartilage and meniscus transplantation, shoulder and knee arthroscopy and joint replacement. Dr. Rhyneer was an early member of the International Cartilage Repair Society and continues to be a proactive contributor in new methods of surgery and alternative treatments. He returned to Alaska in 1999 and worked at Anchorage Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic.
He started Rhyneer Clinic in 2007 because he wanted a small practice known for personal attention, outstanding orthopedic care, good advice, the most modern technology, and staff members who exude warmth, professionalism and compassion.
